Thought I’d go with something more obscure this time around.
An Emotional Fish formed in Dublin back in 1988. There only minor hit in the States was “Celebrate”, which only really made a small splash on college stations.
Atlantic Records put a fair push behind their debut album, but after getting no major hits out of it, they did considerably less for the follow up. As for the third album, I was aware of its existence, but only found out 5 minutes ago that it ever saw the light of day Stateside. And I was working at a record store at the time, so that tells you how much publicity it got.
I haven’t got a whole heaping lot of rarities by the guys, and what I do have all come from the era of the first album. The good news (if you happen to be a fan) is that I do have the rare Live Bait promo EP, so now you have it too.
