BJORK

Yeah, it’s true. I’m a fan of the Icelandic pixie known as Bjork. I’ve been a fan ever since I saw the video for “Birthday” back in the late eighties.

Of course back then she was the lead singer of The Sugarcubes. One of two singers, actually. The other one was a guy. I met him once. He was kind of an ass. Maybe he’d had a bad day or something.

If you only know Bjork from her fashion sense (the Swan Dress), or her run-ins with the paparazzi, but haven’t heard her music, I don’t think it can accurately be described. Seriously. I don’t think I’ve ever heard any other artist that comes close to her style.

I’m sure most of you already know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, download something and give her a shot.

Here’s a bunch of stuff she didn’t put on her albums:

(files expired)

Bjork - “Scary” B-side of the “Bachelorette” single.
Bjork - “I Remember You” (Johnnie Mercer cover) From the “Venus As a Boy” single.
Bjork - “You Only Live Twice” (Nancy Sinatra cover) Recorded for a compilation of James Bond theme covers, but not released.
Bjork - “My Spine” B-side of “It’s Oh So Quiet” single.
Bjork with Skunk Anansie - “Army of Me” From the “Army of Me” single. Original version is on Post.
Bjork - “Charlene” B-side of the “Isobel” single.
Bjork - “Komid” A bonus track on the Japanese version of Medulla.
Bjork - “Nu Flyver Anton” The theme song to a Danish children’s movie, Anton.

My apologies. I'm having some issues with my file host. The files have been moved to a new host, and should be available for download now.

All the files from older posts should be available again in a few days (1st of the month).

Turns out the new host is requiring people to give personal information (answer questionnaires) in order to download. Fuck that. I'm removing all links to them. I'll repost the songs on yet another host when I get some time (working long hours this week.
