A while back, I did a little post on the best American punk band ever, bar none. In case you missed it, I'm referring to Big Black.
At the time, I wasn't specializing in rarities, so I only included one non-album song in the post. Looking back, that seems a shame, since they have so many fantastic songs that weren't on the albums.
So, to make up for it, here's a few more:
(files expired)
Big Black - "Il Duce" Released as a single, but never put on an album.
Big Black - "Crack Up" One of two songs on the God's Favorite Dog compilation.
Big Black - "Everyman For Himself" The other song from God's Favorite Dog, and one of my favorite songs.
Big Black - "In My House" (Mary Jane Girls cover) Issued on a clear vinyl single given free with some copies of their live video, Pigpile.
Big Black - "Strange Things" From the Atomizer LP, but left off when they transfered it to CD.
Big Black - "Newman Generator" A Peel Session of a song they never officially released.
Big Black - "Hunter's Safety (Tommy Bartlett Dies in Pain)" The one in the original post. From the Middle of America compilation.
Big Black discography:
Lungs (EP) (1982)
Bulldozer (EP) (1983)
Racer X (EP) (1984)
The Hammer Party (CD compiling first 3 EPs) (buy)
Atomizer (1986)

Great site. Il Duce was on the Homestead collection The Wailing Ultimate, well worth the search as a great overview of this wonderful label.
You are correct, sir (or madam), Il Duce was indeed on The Wailing Ultimate compilation. I am shamed in misstatement.
But, honestly, thanks for the correction, and thanks for visiting the blog.
Awesome, thanks a ton for these.
Although your bandwidth has been used up with that box place so I guess I'll just keep coming back here until I can get these files.
Yeah, sorry about that bandwidth thing. Seems to be getting worse each month. I switched services back in mid-year, so all the newer posts should still be working. Check back at the beginning of each month, and you should be able to get these.
